Some Professional News

Hello World! Some professional news, I will be moving on from the Internet Freedom Foundation in November. I look back fondly at my years with the organisation. It has been a privilege to serve as its Executive Director over the last year and I am proud of / grateful to the brave and inspiring young team at IFF, and our of counsels, for the amazing work we have been able to do together in the trenches - whether it was pushing back against the many iterations of the broadcasting bill, relentless tracking during the general elections, outcomes in court like the IT Rules fact-checking amendments, or convening spaces for conversations such as Privacy Supreme.

I am very thankful to IFFs community, donors and funders who have had, and will have, its back as the organisation continues to protect and advance digital rights in India (You gave us one of our best fundraising months ever in September, thank you!).

And there’s immense gratitude for our partners in civil society, whether in formal coalitions or informal gatherings, who have always expressed support and solidarity with our work, and worked with us to push the boundaries of what civil society movements can do.

I am also grateful to IFFs Board of Trustees for their faith in me, and their guidance over the past year. I will continue to cheer for IFF and wish them the best, and also hoping that more people join them in the fight for our rights.

In the meantime I will take a short break to recharge, and I look forward to exploring new ways to continue to loudly and proudly advocate for digital rights in India.
